Data Engineer (Eastspring Investment)
At Eastspring Investments, an asset management firm, I design and manage enterprise-scale data platforms on Azure, working primarily with finance datasets ingested from file vendors via SFTP. I architected scalable pipelines with Databricks and Data Factory following medallion principles (bronze/silver/gold) to process millions of records across 740+ sources with high reliability. My work also includes integrating governance tools like Collibra and Informatica to ensure lineage and quality, as well as leading a Databricks serverless POC that improved runtime efficiency by 40–50%. These efforts enable downstream analytics, regulatory reporting, and reliable consumption through Power BI dashboards.
Data Engineer/Analyst (BetterTradeOff)
At BetterTradeOff, an insure-tech SaaS provider, I built and maintained Azure-based data solutions supporting a mobile app that helps users plan financial futures. The role centered on product data, including user interaction and event-streaming data, which I transformed into structured pipelines and automated ELT/ETL processes using Python, SQL, dbt, and Alteryx. I developed and deployed scalable data warehouse models for analytics, enabling self-service reporting in Tableau and Mixpanel. Additionally, I experimented with AI/ML recommendation POCs on Azure ML, evaluating feasibility for personalization features and advanced analytics within the app.
Data Analyst (Yara)
At Yara’s agritech arm, I analyzed product data from a SaaS mobile app designed for smallholder farmers. Working with user interaction and behavioral streaming data, I built SQL pipelines and dashboards in Metabase to democratize access to insights across the team. I applied funnel analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference to improve onboarding conversion by 10% and guide product feature development. On top of that, I conducted deep-dive analyses—regression, clustering, and predictive modeling—using Python and AWS SageMaker, helping segment users and shape growth initiatives for the platform.
